Restaurant Rules


  1. Drink a glass of water before going.
  2. If really hungry have some tea, or even veggies beforehand.
  3. If at a restaurant drink at least a full glass of water before the food comes.
  4. Take a sip in between each bite.
  5. Eat slowly.
  6. Sabotage food with too much salt, etc.
  7. Try eating with opposite hand (if right handed use left hand and vise versa)
  8. To avoid temptation, don't even look at the section of the menu with the fattening foods. Out of sight, out of mind, out of body.
  9. Stick to ordering items including the words ' baked' 'broiled' and 'steamed'.
  10. Always order sauces on the side 
  11. Dip the tines of your fork into the dressing then into meal, so you can still taste the sauce but with a fraction of the calories.
  12. Eat half and pack it up
  13. Start with soup or side salad to fill you.
  14. Eat in the order of veggies first, protein next, carbs last.
  15. Have salad with only negative calories vegetables.
  16. Try not to be the first to start or last to finish.
  17. Aim to drink at least 3 glasses of water during the meal.
  18. Put your utensils down between each bite.
  19. Talk a lot so you spend more time speaking than eating.
  20. Look up the nutritional info online before going to the restaurant so you can decide before hand what you want.
  21. Ask for lunch size portion or children's size.
  22. Say 'No thank you' to dessert.

    1. Think about veggies and protein. Protein helps you lose weight 14% faster. Veggies have no calories (carrots, lettuce, celery) and can also give you the nutriment that you need to power through your day. If it seems weird that I am telling you to eat it's because it's easier to eat! Eating one celery stick (or more) and a handful of baby carrots can be burned off by walking around the block or taking the stairs. Hope this helps.

    1. For some of us, this is enjoying the restaurant. Knowing that we have control over what and how much we are putting in our body, knowing were losing weight, makes us happy. I am simply overjoyed to see the number on the scale go down.

    1. Start slowly. What I did was for x amount of meals I took a sip of water between bites. Then I took a sip of water and counted my chewing. Then it was drinking a whole glass before a meal, counting chewing, and sipping water between bites. Build up to it.

  14. It's been years since ana, I had control, I was fulfilled. Then i let go, for the last few years I've hidden in this disgusting shell of myself of "healthy". I know i wasn't strong enough then if i let go so easily & slipped away. From 12 to 17, I (thought) i was in control. I'm about to be 26 & I know where I need to be once more.     2. Hi there, stumbled upon pro ana quite recently. Been doing research, because my friends and relatives are starting to get worried about my obsession with dieting. It's not really an obsession. I am just really tired of having this much fat on my body. Some people feel it is normal, but I have always found skinny people to be more attractive. Some people like blondes, some like red heads, some like big girls, and some like skinny girls. I want to be liked by guys who like skinny girls, not by guys who grab my love handles like I am some piece of ham. I do not want to become a skeleton, but I do want my weight to be much much less then I am now. I am a pro ana, I want to be pro ana. I want to have my collar and hip bones showing, because I think it is attractive. I will not starve myself to death, because I care about my life, but I will say no to overeating, junkfood, and many other foods that cause weight gain. I am 26 years old, weighing 138lb at 5'6. My goal is 115lb. I have seen photos of girls with the same height and weight I strive to be, and I know that that is what I want to look like.

Bring a plate in ur room and spread some bread crumbs on it so it looks like u have already eaten and u can bite an apple until its to the core but dont eat the apple just spit it out and leave it on the plate to look like uve eaten.... Do it with other foods. U should do this when ur parents are around so they think uve been eating

      he might have gone a bit wrong about it, but the one above who you replied to (got this is difficult without names^^) is not wrong ... you know for some people with mental illness it can even be helpfull to get such a "wake up" call ... not everyone of course and probably not even many, but maybe e few ... many need to help themselves on their own though ... or their life-circumstances have to change... that can also be helpfull (that's what helped me when i was suicidal)

As a recovering drug addict, (also, a mental disorder) I had a psychologist once tell me, "u r the only one who can reach out and grab recovery, it is only a bad thing to have an illness when u r not doing anything about it!" U need to go after ur LIFE n RECOVERY in the same fashion u go after ur goals to be skinny. Recovery is here for anyone. U researched all these pro ana sites, u can just as easily research recovery and how to get well. The disease is the one telling u u have to keep it a secret, don't LISTEN! IT IS LYING TO U!!! u know, when I was in the depths of my addiction, I never had any sites encouraging me to stick a needle in my arm..why? Because EVERYONE knows it will kill u. Stop sugar coating ur disease and seek help before it is too late! U r all worth it!! ♡♡♡

I'm sure you arent fat (at least not to me you wont be) but if you are looking to lose weight, i recommend you go on a healthy diet...stuff like this honestly isnt fun. i have no room to talk buttt i want you to do stuff the healthy way and be happy cause honestly, its gotten to the point where eating at all makes me nauseous, i hate even drinking a lot of water and i hate myself for gaining a few ounces so...yeah. hope you choose a diet, i mean...even doing as much as cutting down on certain sauces and going for a walk can help so just do it that way..plus the results stay longer. i throw up and eat 1 chip and might gain it all back cuz logic lol

  44. I'm about to go out to eat at bravos and im stressing because i have horrible self control.   45. Please, just love yourselves and love your bodies. Respect your bodies by giving them the nourishment they need. You can still have this feeling of control over your diet without hurting your body. Limit yourself to fresh natural ingredients and the 1800 calories/ day your body NEEDS. Your family worry about you because they love you and if you continue this anorexic lifestyle (let's not dress it up with a pretty name), you are either going to binge, or worse, you'll get hospitalised. Reach out for help from professionals or your loved ones because the first step towards saving yourselves is admitting you are ill. For health motivation, I recommend the blogilates youtube channel. I know I'm just a stranger on the internet but please make a change to save your lives. You only get one body- cherish it. x

  49. I found that if i'm hungry I drink these fizzy sparkling water ICEs, they have many flavors, and 0% everything; no carb, no fat, no protein;but 10% of vitamins and minerals. No joke, they exist. found in the drink section of walmart

I've been doing great and have already lost 16 lbs in 1 1/2 month by calorie restricting (vegan meals) & fasting. need someone to push me so i dont fall off the wagon again. when i was younger i was anorexic but my school found out, got parents involved & we all know where it goes from there...after i graduated i went back to it, then became weak and started eating again. now im back and ready to fully commit again. i hate my body, and it needs to change, now.

  62. I'm new to this to I don't eat a lot but i do drink alcohol a lot which I think is my main problem not sure if I can stop it. How can I lose weight I need to stay motivated any ideas

  63. def stop drinking, theres plenty of calories in alcohol. maybe resort to cigarettes? if u need something to feed an addiction. then you can work on loosing weight once u stop drinking
